Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. seeks an Application Specialist to precisely and safely apply crop production inputs in field settings. You will operate and maintain specialized equipment, follow agronomic recommendations, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental rules.

The role requires a high school diploma, a CDL with endorsements within six months, and state/federal pesticide licenses within six months. Outdoor work, varied weather, and driving are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agronomy Training a plus.
• Obtain CDL with required endorsements within six months and maintain clean driving record.
• Hold federal/state pesticide licenses within the first six months.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and meet deadlines.
• Experience operating sprayers and spreaders is preferred.
• Strong safety, compliance, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain custom application equipment (sprayers, spreaders, etc.).
• Apply crop production inputs per agronomic plans and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform pre- and post-application inspections for safety and efficiency.
• Follow maps and instructions to ensure precise placement and rates.
• Monitor weather and field conditions to optimize timing and method.
• Keep accurate records of products used, rates, and areas treated.
• Coordinate schedules with customers and agronomists to ensure satisfaction.
• Comply with PPE and safety protocols; assist with inventory reporting.
• Perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.
