Prairieland FS, Inc. is seeking an Application Specialist to precisely apply agricultural crop inputs in fields using specialized equipment. The role requires operating and maintaining sprayers and other machinery while following agronomic plans and safety regulations.

Candidate must hold a high school diploma (agronomy certification a plus) and obtain a CDL with HazMat/Tanker endorsements within six months. Experience with GPS/precision ag tech is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agronomy or agriculture certification is a plus.
• Must obtain CDL with endorsements within six months of employment and maintain a clean record.
• All required federal/state pesticide licenses within first six months.
• Experience operating sprayers/spreaders; knowledge of agronomy practices is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather and drive long hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sprayers, spreaders, and related equipment as directed.
• Apply crop production inputs according to agronomic plans and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct pre- and post-application inspections for safety and efficiency.
• Follow maps and instructions to ensure precise product placement and rates.
• Monitor weather/field variables to optimize timing and method of application.
• Maintain records of products used, rates, and areas treated.
• Coordinate schedules with customers, agronomists, and team members.
• Adhere to PPE and safety protocols; handle chemicals safely.
• Assist with inventory management and reporting of chemical usage.
• Perform minor repairs/adjustments to equipment as needed.
