Required qualifications include a high school diploma, a valid CDL with endorsements within six months, and pesticide licenses. Experience with sprayers/spreaders and GPS/precision agriculture is preferred, with outdoor work year-round.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in agronomy or agriculture is a plus.
• Obtain a valid CDL with required endorsements (HazMat, Tanker) within six months of employment.
• All required federal/state pesticide licenses within the first six months of employment.
• Experience operating agricultural machinery, especially sprayers and spreaders.
• Knowledge of agronomy practices, crop protection products, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain custom application equipment, including sprayers and spreaders.
• Apply crop production inputs according to agronomic plans and guidelines.
• Perform pre- and post-application inspections of equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Follow application maps to ensure precise product placement and rates.
• Monitor weather and field conditions to optimize timing and method.
• Maintain accurate records of applications and chemicals used.
