Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. is seeking an Application Specialist to apply agricultural crop production input products with precision and safety.

You will operate and maintain sprayers, spreaders and related equipment, following agronomic plans and regulatory guidelines to ensure accurate rates and locations in the field. This role collaborates with customers, Location Managers, and agronomists to optimize yields while protecting the environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agronomy or agriculture certification is a plus.
• Valid CDL with required endorsements (HazMat, Tanker) within six months and clean driving record.
• All required federal and state pesticide licenses within the first six months.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain custom application equipment (sprayers, spreaders, etc.).
• Apply crop production input products per agronomic plans and guidelines.
• Conduct pre- and post-application equipment inspections for safety and efficiency.
• Follow maps and instructions for precise placement and rates.
• Monitor weather/field variables to optimize timing and method.
• Maintain records of applications (products, rates, areas).
• Coordinate schedules with customers and agronomists; ensure satisfaction.
• Adhere to safety protocols including PPE usage and chemical handling.
• Assist with inventory and reporting of chemical usage.
• Perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.
