Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is seeking a Pre-Suit focused Attorney in our Richmond, VA office. The attorney will handle day-to-day pre-litigation work, guide clients through the case process, draft and file pre-litigation documents, and oversee settlement negotiations.

The role requires a Virginia bar in good standing, 1+ year of liability experience, and strong writing and advocacy skills. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for leadership within a leading personal injury firm

Qualifications

• Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
• Active VA State Bar membership in good standing.
• 1+ years of general liability or personal injury experience.
• Ability to manage a high volume of pre-litigation cases.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Self-starter with long-term career goals.
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of all pre-litigation work.
• Complete the Flip-to-Lit approval.
• Guide clients through the case process.
• Drafting and filing of pre-litigation documents.
• Complete TD approval for liability issues.
• Oversee settlement negotiations and the formation of demand packages.
• Manage the release approval process.
• Manage a team of 6-10 Case Managers.
• Focus on general liability cases.
• Drive compliance and KPIs amongst team.
• EUOs, PIP Statements, recorded statements.
