Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company seeks a Pre-Ski School Attendant for Snowshoe, WV. You will assist Supervisors in daily operations and care for children aged 2-4, creating fun, safe experiences with engaging activities indoors and outdoors.

You will help with meals, check-in/check-out, and coordinate with Food & Beverage. Training sessions and a friendly, energetic team environment are provided for a successful season.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be willing and able to learn to ski.
• At least 3 months experience in a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety practices; CPR/First aid certification preferred.
• May require lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure children's comfort and happiness by assisting with bathroom breaks, diaper changes, minor accidents, clothing adjustments, and dressing for outdoor weather.
• Perform housekeeping duties in the pre-ski school area and assist with organizing lunch.
• Coordinate with Food & Beverage to order and serve daily lunches, ensuring adequate supplies.
• Manage check-in and check-out procedures, including paperwork and waivers.
• Prepare children for the day and escort them to activities.
• Handle basic RTP functions, such as inventory checks and order closures.
• Serve as a resort ambassador, offering information about facilities and products.
• Teach snow sports in a safe, enjoyable environment for memorable experiences.
• Build rapport with guests and staff by establishing trust and care.
• Adhere to resort practices, participate in training, and maintain professional appearance.
