Job summary

Extreme Networks is seeking a Systems Engineer to own the technical strategy for mid‑complexity accounts within an assigned territory. You will independently design solutions, lead technical validation, and drive revenue outcomes, partnering with Account Executives to shape deals.

You’ll mentor junior SEs, travel as needed, and use tools like Ekahau, AirMagnet, and NetScout to validate designs and win technical engagements.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in networking or pre‑sales engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently design solutions for mid‑complexity, multi‑product environments.
• Track record of owning technical outcomes and directly influencing revenue within a territory.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical qualification for assigned accounts throughout the sales cycle.
• Independently design and architect solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Drive POCs and technical validation to advance deals.
• Partner with Account Executives to shape and influence deal strategy.
• Build technical capability within channel partners through training and enablement.
• Expand and apply competitive positioning knowledge to win against alternative vendors.
• Own technical win rate and contribute directly to territory revenue results.
• Represent Extreme Networks in customer presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions across all levels of a customer's organization.
• Use Wi‑Fi test and planning tools to support design and validation work.
