Job summary

Extreme Networks, Inc. in Raleigh, NC seeks a dynamic Systems Engineer for our Sales team in a Pre-Sales capacity to design, present, and oversee the deployment of large-scale public venue networks.

You will work closely with Sales Account Executives and travel to customer sites to present network design methodologies and demonstrate competitive advantages. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams, demonstrate technical competency, and ensure seamless project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in network engineering, systems design, or pre-sales.
• Expert-level knowledge of 802.11 Wi‑Fi technologies and wireless network design.
• Strong background in wired, wireless, and security networking with competitive experience.
• Demonstrated ability to influence customer decisions and displace competitors.
• Hands-on experience withEkahau, Hamina, NetScout or equivalent tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and oversee the implementation of complex network solutions for sports and entertainment venues.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to executives and technical audiences.
• Represent Extreme Networks at trade shows and industry events.
• Analyze customer requirements and architect solutions that position Extreme against competitors.
• Demonstrate products and articulate competitive advantages.
• Manage complex customer interactions and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate across Sales, Engineering, Support, and Product teams for project delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in live environments.
