Pre-Sales Support Specialist

Reporting To: Pre-Sales Support Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

The Pre-Sales Support Specialist will provide timely support to ABB Sales, ABB Distributors, Specification Engineers, Contractors, and End Users. The work model for this role is: #LI - Remote. This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Power Division. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing pre-sales support for ABB electrical distribution and control products.
  • Promoting ABB sales opportunities by providing competitor-to-ABB product cross-reference support.
  • Assisting customers and sales teams with accurate product selection for specific applications (form, fit, and function).
  • Collaborating with R&D, Supply Chain, and Product Management to develop commercial solutions for customers.
  • Working cross-functionally with global teams; documenting customer cases and actions using case tracking tools like Salesforce; answering customer calls as needed.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with ABB and GE products.
  • Deep knowledge of ABB, GE, and competitor products including load centers, transformers, metering, industrial breakers, panel boards, motor control, pushbuttons, safety switches, and MODBUS programming.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written, for effective interaction with US customers via phone and email.
  • Experience in electrical distribution and an engineering background.
  • Ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
  • Legal work authorization for employment in the US.
