Job summary

MongoDB Pre-Sales Solution Architects guide customers to design scalable, reliable systems on our data platform. You’ll work with sales to drive deals, provide architectural guidance, and ensure customer success across enterprise and cloud environments.

Ideal candidates have extensive pre-sales experience, strong scripting knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to leadership. Hybrid travel up to 25% and collaboration across teams are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8–11 years in a customer-facing role with 5–7 years in pre-sales for enterprise software.
• Experience designing scalable, highly available cloud/on-prem distributed systems.
• Ability to review complex architectures and provide improvement guidance.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable and performant applications and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB.
• Advise customers on architecture patterns and articulate business value.
• Partner with sales to drive account success, including discovery, demos, and value proofs.
• Generate demand through technical initiatives and participation in events.
• Foster customer relationships, build champions, and ensure success.
• Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members and stay current with products.
