Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Architect in Los Angeles/Hybrid to guide customers in designing scalable data platforms using MongoDB. You will collaborate with sales to win deals, advise on architecture, and ensure successful deployments across cloud and on-prem environments.

Ideal candidates have extensive enterprise pre-sales experience, strong scripting and coding skills, and excellent communication to translate complex concepts for executives and technical teams.

Qualifications

• 8–11 years in a customer-facing role, with 5–7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software.
• 3+ years in professional coding or scripting (Python/Node.js/SQL) or languages like C/C++, Java, C#.
• Experience designing scalable, highly available cloud/on-prem distributed systems.
• Ability to review complex architectures with customers and offer technology-driven improvements.
• Excellent communication to articulate technical/business concepts to leadership.
• Ability to partner with sales and marshal MongoDB resources for mutual account plans.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, performant applications and architectures leveraging MongoDB for large projects.
• Advise on architecture patterns and communicate MongoDB business value to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales to drive account strategy, discovery, demos, and value pitches.
• Generate demand through technical initiatives and participation in events and ABM activities.
• Foster customer relationships, build champions, and ensure success and satisfaction.
• Mentor other Solutions Consulting team members and stay current with product trends.
