Job summary

AKOYA is seeking a Solution Architect in Boston to serve as the technical bridge between the network and our customers. You will lead pre-sales demonstrations, scope integrations, and own the onboarding through go-live, while supporting post-go-live operations.

This role demands deep API, security expertise, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to developers and executives. Travel a few times a year and collaborate with product and engineering to improve tooling and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 10+ years in a client-facing role with deep technical know-how.
• 4–6 years hands-on technical and design experience.
• Proficiency in Go and exposure to Node.js, Python, or Java.
• Strong RESTful JSON API design, testing and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML and SSO configurations.
• Solid understanding of DNS, proxies, firewalls, load balancers, TLS.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate technical concepts for varied audiences.
• Strong troubleshooting and hands-on diagnosis skills.
• Comfortable traveling as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for prospective and new customers during the sales cycle.
• Deliver technical product demos and proofs-of-concept tailored to use cases.
• Gather integration requirements and technical specs with customer teams.
• Build sample code and lightweight integration prototypes to de-risk deals.
• Recommend the right solution architecture for customer needs and flag concerns.
• Own technical onboarding from contract to go-live.
• Configure and troubleshoot OAuth/SAML/SSO with customer teams.
• Debug API integration issues using Postman, curl, and dev tools.
• Write integration guides and runbooks for customers and internal teams.
• Run joint testing sessions with customer technical teams through go-live.
• Handle escalated technical issues and advocate internally for customer needs.
• Collaborate with Product to improve deployment tooling and self-service docs.
• Build internal tools and sample integrations to speed future onboarding.
• Develop trusted relationships with customer leads and executives.
• Present technical concepts clearly to developers and executives; travel occasionally.
