Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Solution Engineer to partner with Sales & Customer Success, leading conversations that shape growth for enterprise clients adopting AI‑ready connectivity. You will design and architect solutions using our technology services platform and balance technical depth with business value, aiming to become a trusted advisor.

The role involves strategic discovery, industry best practices, and presenting offerings tailored to each customer’s requirements.

Qualifications

Education: B.S. Computer Science, MIS or equivalent work experience in private sector or military.
Work experience: Minimum 2 years of technology experience in pre‑sales, engineering, consulting or similar background.
General Experience: Technical pre‑sales and/or consulting experience.
Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and Design; familiarity with one or more Lumen pillars.

Responsibilities

Lead customer meetings in person or via collaboration tools and deliver technical proposals with business acumen.
Analyze customer objectives, conduct technical discovery, and architect client solutions to meet requirements.
Advise customers and sales teams on technical aspects of proposed solutions including fit, features, and availability.
Provide internal feedback to product, sales, and leadership on customer experience and service implementation.
