Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Solution Engineer to partner with Sales & Customer Success to shape Enterprise opportunities and design solutions on our technology services platform. You’ll translate business needs into technical architectures, lead discovery, present ROI-driven proposals, and help customers accelerate digital transformation.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of pre-sales/engineering experience, strong communication, and the ability to work across product, engineering and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S. Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or equivalent.
• Work experience: Minimum 2 years in pre-selling, engineering, or consulting.
• Technical knowledge across Lumen pillars: global network infrastructure, edge cloud, security.
• Strong presentation and communication with stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Customer Meetings: Lead meetings and deliver technical proposals and presentations with business acumen.
• Customer Solution Development: Architect client solutions meeting gathered requirements.
• Internal and External Training: Advise on technical aspects of proposed solutions.
• Thought Leadership: Feedback loop to product, sales and leadership teams.
