Job summary

Avoca is redefining how home service companies engage with customers from NYC to beyond. The Field Engineer on the Pre-Sales team builds integrations that prove technical feasibility, and crafts credible demo tooling that illustrates product capabilities to prospects and partners.

You will work across Sales, Partnerships, Product, Engineering, and AI to design, implement, and demonstrate end‑to‑end solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a technical, customer-facing role or equivalent.
• Hands-on ability to build and ship production-grade code.
• Experience integrating against third-party APIs and enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Own technical scoping and feasibility for pre-sales opportunities and partner integrations; convert requirements into concrete implementation plans.
• Build working integrations against third-party APIs, CRMs, FSM platforms, telephony systems, and partner ecosystems; write real code and create a credible PoC.
• Build and maintain demo and sandbox tooling for the GTM org, including reusable demo environments and fixtures.
• Configure and tune Avoca's conversational AI for demo and POC scenarios, including prompt engineering.
• Serve as the technical counterpart to AEs and Partnerships; translate conversations into executable plans for non-technical teammates.
• Troubleshoot issues during evaluations, pilots, and POCs to protect deals and launches.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to feed integration learnings back to roadmap and keep demos current.
• Partner with Forward Deployed Engineering for production handoffs; own the pre-sales build and demo layer.
