Job summary

Avoca is hiring a Field Engineer for the Pre-Sales team in NYC. You will own the integration work proving technical feasibility to prospects and the demo tooling that enables the GTM team to tell a credible story.

This role sits at the intersection of Sales, Partnerships, Product, Engineering, and AI, and involves building working integrations against various APIs and platforms. You will configure Avoca's AI demos, solve technical challenges with prospects and partners, and hand off production

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a technical, customer-facing role.
• Hands-on ability to build production-grade code.
• Experience integrating against third-party APIs and enterprise systems.
• Working SQL and relational data knowledge.
• End-to-end ownership of technical projects.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with AI-powered products or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own technical scoping and feasibility for pre-sales opportunities and partner integrations.
• Build working integrations against third-party APIs, CRMs, FSMs, and telephony systems.
• Build and maintain demo and sandbox tooling for the GTM org.
• Configure and tune Avoca's conversational AI for demos and POC scenarios.
• Serve as the technical counterpart to AEs and Partnerships.
• Troubleshoot issues during evaluations, pilots, and POCs.
• Feedback integration gaps to product roadmap.
• Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineering for production handoff.
