Anderson Injury Lawyers in Austin, TX seeks a Pre-Litigation Team Manager to lead case managers from intake through settlement. This hands-on leadership role focuses on operational rigor and optimizing the pre-litigation process to deliver timely, fair resolutions for clients.

You will coach and develop staff, monitor caseloads, enforce standard operating procedures for treatment and demand packages, track KPIs, and report results to firm leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in personal injury case management, with supervisory or team lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of the pre-litigation lifecycle: treatment, demand, negotiation, disbursement.
• Experience with Filevine or comparable case management software preferred.
• Proven ability to coach and hold a team accountable to performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of case managers handling pre-litigation cases from intake through settlement.
• Monitor caseloads, case aging, and file quality to keep cases moving toward timely outcomes.
• Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular one-on-ones and reviews.
• Own and enforce SOPs for treatment monitoring, demand packages, lien resolution, and settlement handoff.
• Track KPIs and report on team performance to firm leadership.
• Use Filevine to audit case files and ensure documentation is audit-ready.
• Handle escalations — client concerns and internal roadblocks — quickly and professionally.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training for new pre-litigation staff.
• Identify and implement process improvements as the team grows.

About the Role

The Pre-Litigation Team Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of our pre-litigation case teams — case managers and case manager assistants — ensuring cases move efficiently through treatment, demand preparation, and settlement. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who understands both the people side of management and the operational rigor required to run a high-volume pre-litigation caseload.

What You'll Do

• Manage and develop a team of case managers and case manager assistants handling pre-litigation personal injury cases from intake through settlement
• Monitor caseloads, case aging, and file quality to identify bottlenecks and keep cases moving toward timely
• Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular one-on-ones, coaching, and formal performance reviews
• Own and enforce standard operating procedures for treatment monitoring, demand packages, lien resolution, and settlement handoff
• Track team KPIs and report on team performance to firm leadership
• Use Filevine to audit case files, monitor task completion, and ensure documentation is accurate and audit-ready
• Handle escalations — client concerns, medical provider issues, and internal roadblocks — quickly and professionally
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training for new pre-litigation staff
• Help identify and roll out process improvements as the team and caseload grow

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in personal injury case management, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
• Strong working knowledge of the pre-litigation lifecycle: treatment, demand, negotiation, and disbursement
• Experience with Filevine or comparable case management software strongly preferred
• Proven ability to manage, coach, and hold a team accountable to performance standards
• Excellent organizational skills and comfort managing a high-volume, deadline-driven caseload
• Clear, direct communication style — with clients, attorneys, and your team
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience in personal injury case management will be considered in lieu of a degree
