Qualifications

• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a paraprofessional certificate issued by the SBEC.
• Must obtain a national criminal background check through the SBEC website within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with district employees, parents and students.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce skills and units of instruction under supervision.
• Assist one-to-one and small-group instruction for at-risk students.
• Assist with preparation of extension lessons and integration of technology.
• Support teachers, technology teacher and librarian during scheduled times.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and work assignments.
• Participate in selecting, organizing and evaluating classroom instructional materials.
