Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 48 college hours from an accredited college or university.
• SBEC paraprofessional certificate required; must pass a background check within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate, listen, read, write, and understand English in daily interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the certified PE teacher and reduce routine tasks to free up the teacher's time.
• Support instruction by selecting and organizing materials for a balanced curriculum.
• Work with individual students, small groups, and whole classes as needed.
• Participate in staff development and implement strategies in the curriculum.
• Assist with testing and scoring objective measures; support at‑risk students on 1:1 basis.
• Adhere to district policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Be available for virtual classroom duties and district communications during school hours.
