Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District is seeking a paraprofessional to support students with disabilities, assist with IEP implementation, and help with instructional activities across classrooms and non-classroom settings.

The role includes supervising students, assisting with materials and behavior interventions, and coordinating with teachers and SPED staff to monitor progress and ensure safety during daily activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 48 college hours from an accredited institution.
• Paraprofessional certificate issued by SBEC; CPR, Heimlich, and NCI certifications preferred.
• Must be familiar with OT/PT apparatus and able to support instructional needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instructional material preparation and behavior interventions.
• Supervise students throughout the day in multiple settings including lunchroom, bus, and playground.
• Support implementation of IEPs and document services provided under supervision.
• Assist with testing instruments and integrate technology into the curriculum.
• Provide orientation to substitutes and collaborate with SPED staff on progress.
