Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District is seeking a Paraprofessional to assist in meeting the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities. You will work under the supervision of a certified teacher and help implement IEPs, behavior strategies, and adaptive supports.

The role involves supervising students in various settings, preparing materials, and contributing to a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 48 college hours.
• Paraprofessional certificate issued by SBEC or eligibility.
• CPR and Heimlich maneuver training; NCI training.
• English proficiency for daily communication; ability to listen, read, write.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students and assist with classroom activities.
• Help implement IEPs and behavioral interventions under supervision.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with testing/assessment tools.
• Support students with physical needs and use assistive devices as appropriate.
• Maintain documentation of services provided and coordinate with teachers.
