Job summary

Bridgeport Independent School District is seeking a classroom support paraprofessional to assist certified teachers, provide instructional support to students, prepare materials, and help manage classroom activities. Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or GED.
Associate’s degree or two years of college preferred.
Valid Texas educational aide certificate is required.
Ability to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics instruction.
Able to work well with children and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Provide instruction to students under teacher supervision, individually or in small groups.
Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
Assist with administration and scoring of tests and assignments.
Maintain a neat, orderly classroom and manage supplies.
Assist with inventory and equipment maintenance.
Keep administrative records and reports; assist substitutes as needed.
Participate in staff development and faculty events.
