Harford County Public Schools seeks a Paraeducator for George D. Lisby Elementary School in Bel Air, MD.

The role supports instructional staff, assists with data collection and student assessments, and helps implement IEPs/IFSPs for students with special needs. The position requires strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, ability to assist with restraints as trained, and the physical capability to lift and transfer students up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• CDA Certificate options with 48 college credits or passing paraprofessional exam.

Responsabilités

• Provides support to students during instruction.
• Implements lesson plans with individuals or small groups.
• Works under teacher direction to support instruction for individuals or groups.
• Assists with data collection, testing and student assessment.
• Assists with IEP/IFSP implementation for students with special needs.
• Monitors behavior and applies behavioral strategies.
• Assists with personal care needs of students as required.
• Prepares instructional materials for students.
• Assists with school-wide duties and classroom coverage.
• Participates in professional development programs.
• Supports students via digital platforms for instruction and assessment.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including in-person and virtual tasks.
