Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate of arts degree or higher is preferred.
• CDA certificate with 48 college credits or passing paraprofessional exam required.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to students during instruction.
• Implements teacher lesson plans with individuals or small groups.
• Works under the direction of the teacher to provide instruction to individuals or small groups.
• Assists with data collection, testing, and student assessment.
• Assists with IEP/IFSP implementation for students with special needs.
• Monitors student behavior and applies behavioral strategies and intervention plans.
• Assists with personal care needs of students (lifting, transferring, feeding, toileting, restraint).
• Prepares instructional materials for students.
• Assists with school-wide duties (field trips, assemblies, class coverage, bus duty, computer lab).
• Participates in professional development programs.
• Works with students via digital platforms for instruction and assessment.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including in-person and virtual tasks.
