Job summary

The Wake County Public School System is seeking an Instructional Assistant-Pre-K for General Education, Special Education, or Title I settings. The role is assigned to the Office of Early Learning and involves blended Pre-K classrooms, instructional support, and collaboration with licensed teachers.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities, planning with teachers, and maintaining student safety and records. CPI training is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; pursuing an Associate degree in birth-through-kindergarten or related field; CDA credential preferred.
• For Title I schools, ESSA requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom tasks.
• Support students individually or in small groups across Pre-K curriculum.
• Coordinate with teachers on lesson materials and classroom procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and complete required reports and records.
