Job summary

Wake County Public School System seeks an Instructional Assistant-Pre-K Blended to support teachers in general and special education settings. The role spans Pre-K General Education, Special Education, and Title I sites, with duties in classroom activities, materials prep, and student supervision.

Applicants should hold a high school diploma or GED and pursue an associate degree or CDA; ESSA requirements apply for Title I schools. CPI certification will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Google Apps.
• Understanding of general instructional delivery methods and core subjects.
• Ability to work with diverse student backgrounds and protect FERPA data.
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to complete CPI certification and ongoing professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management.
• Prepare materials, support lesson delivery, and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with staff on planning, records, and confidentiality obligations (FERPA).
• Support in health care needs, mobility assistance, and behavioral interventions as needed.
• Participate in district staff development and blended Pre-K program duties.
