Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking an Instructional Assistant for Pre-K blended assignments, supporting licensed teachers and students across general, special education, or Title I settings.

The role requires collaboration with teachers, adherence to licensure requirements, and proactive safety and confidentiality practices in a school environment. CPI certification is preferred and essential duties include a range of instructional and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with ongoing progress toward an Associate’s degree in birth-through-kindergarten or related field.
• CDA credential acceptable or progress toward degree; six documented semester hours per year toward degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management.
• Prepare materials and support safe, caring learning environments.
• Support students individually or in small groups across Pre-K disciplines.
• Collaborate with teachers on lesson planning and interventions.
• Maintain confidentiality and document required records.
