Job summary

Wake County Public School System seeks an Instructional Assistant-Pre-K Blended to support teachers in General Education, Special Education, or Title I classrooms. The role is assigned to a Pre-K environment and may be divided across multiple sites.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, progress toward an Associate’s degree or CDA, CPI certification, and a commitment to confidentiality and professional growth. Monday–Friday with occasional evenings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; pursuing an Associate’s degree in birth-through-kindergarten or CDA.
• For Title I schools, meet ESSA requirements per Public Law 114-95.

Responsibilities

• Assists teachers in instructional activities and maintains a safe, caring classroom environment.
• Supports individual students or groups in pre-K curriculum as directed by teachers.
• Plans with teachers and implements strategies related to licensure requirements where applicable.
• Maintains confidentiality and completes required reports and records.
