Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking an Instructional Assistant-Pre-K Blended to support classroom teachers across General Education, Special Education, and Title I settings. The role requires collaboration with teachers to implement goals, assist in instruction, and manage classroom activities in a safe, nurturing environment.

The position may be divided across Pre-K General Education, Special Education, and Title I sites, with duties including planning with teachers and delivering

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Google Apps.
• Understanding of successful instructional delivery methods.
• Familiarity with core subjects at assigned grade level.
• Ability to support diverse students and protect FERPA confidentiality.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in instructional activities and classroom management.
• Prepare materials and support lesson delivery across Pre-K programs.
• Support students individually or in small groups as directed by teachers.
• Coordinate with staff on health, safety, and CPI-related tasks.
• Maintain records, ensure confidentiality, and participate in professional development.
• Assist with health care needs and mobility support as required.
