Job summary

BankFirst is seeking a Loan Documentation Specialist responsible for pre-closing reviews of consumer and selected commercial loans and preparing close packages in a timely manner. The role ensures conformance with loan documentation requirements and bank policy, while supporting compliance across BankFirst markets.

Qualified candidates will have at least three years of experience in loan documentation, strong detail orientation, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in consumer and commercial loan documentation.
• Broad knowledge of loan compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Superior attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify loan documents required to support approved terms and conditions and adherence to loan policy.
• Prepare documentation for new, renewal and modified loans using internal documentation software.
• Produce complete, enforceable loan document packages including notes, loan agreements and collateral documents.
• Assist with third-party services such as UCC filings, flood determinations, and Secretary of State standings.
• Guide lending personnel on documentation, policy and procedural issues.
• Notify lenders of potential problems and recommend resolutions.
• Participate in training and projects related to pre-closing and compliance.
• Support Department Manager and assist with bank initiatives.
