The Pre-Audit Clerk I level is distinguished by its responsibility for pre-auditing the more routine claims independently and for assisting in the pre-auditing of the more difficult claims under supervision.
Specialized Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of responsible clerical work experience in the preparation and processing of payroll records, vouchers, invoices, statements, and related claims transactions; account record keeping; or purchasing activities.
Substitution of Education for Experience: Fifteen (15) semester credits at an accredited college or university which included at least three (3) semester credits in accounting or auditing may be substituted for six (6) months of specialized experience up to a maximum of two (2) years.
