Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Ambulatory Surgery Unit Pre-Admission Phase II. The role supports patients from pre-admission through coordination with anesthesia, performing assessments and planning care for all ages.

Under the ASU Nurse Manager, you will collect medical histories, interview patients, coordinate with anesthesia, and provide direct patient care. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• BSN preferred
• Graduate of accredited nursing program

Responsibilities

• Assess patient prior to admission via phone or in person
• Collect medical history from records
• Coordinate patient needs with anesthesia
• Perform direct patient care for all ages
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care per plan and policies
• Act in line with Mercy mission and service standards
