Job summary

Baptist Health’s BHMG Bariatric Surgery in Louisville, KY seeks a Medical Practice Manager to lead daily operations and supervise staff. You will manage budgets, coordinate schedules, and partner with Marketing to promote services.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business or health care, 2+ years of relevant experience, and strong leadership and analytical abilities, plus knowledge of billing rules and payor environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or health care related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent leadership, analytical and project management skills as demonstrated by the ability to manage personnel and technical issues and the knowledge of financial analysis tools and PC skills.
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of the payor environment, patient service delivery systems and federal/state rules and regulations regarding billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and supervision of the practice, including objective measures in a balanced scorecard approach.
• Schedule physician and staff personnel and manages leave requests
• Make recommendations regarding equipment and supplies needed to maintain efficient operations; order supplies and equipment as needed
• Prepare and submit an annual budget
• Work with Marketing and Public Relations to enhance public image of the clinic
• Establish a patient flow system that is efficient and responsive
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, physicians, employees and coworkers
• Represent the facility to the business community and the public
• Plan new programs and develop plans to market services offered by the facility
• Daily balancing and bank deposits and invoice processing
• Conduct periodic audits of charts, policies and procedures and/or direct this process for the entire facility
• Interviewing, hiring, orientation, development, and evaluation of employees

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the daily operations and supervision of the practice, including objective measures in a “balanced scorecard” approach.
