Job summary

Toole Design in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Practice Lead to integrate transportation engineering and multimodal planning, guiding a talented team of engineers and planners while sustaining client relationships.

You will lead business development, shape technical direction, and manage major projects, reporting to the Engineering Director and collaborating with Design and Planning Directors.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in transportation engineering and multimodal planning.
• PE preferred; PTOE and/or AICP credentials are a plus.
• Demonstrated success leading integrated teams and growing a transportation practice.
• Ability to lead business development and engage with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead practice leadership and grow the transportation/multimodal team.
• Guide business development in support of annual growth targets.
• Shape technical direction and ensure quality across major projects.
• Mentor staff and recruit to support local and firmwide growth.
• Advance training, innovation, and visibility of the practice.
