Job summary

Toole Design in Raleigh, NC, seeks an experienced transportation professional to lead the integrated transportation engineering and multimodal planning practice, joining us in Raleigh. This leadership role combines practice leadership with active project delivery.

You will mentor a talented team of engineers and planners, guide business development, shape the firm's technical direction, and stay active on major projects that strengthen client relationships and grow the practice.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of success in transportation engineering and multimodal planning.
• Proven ability to lead integrated teams and large projects.
• PE preferred; PTOE or AICP credentials are a plus.
• Experience building and leading practices, programs, and client relationships.
• Strong strategic and mentorship mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integrated transportation engineering and multimodal planning practice in Raleigh.
• Mentor engineers and planners, guide business development, and shape technical strategy.
• Oversee major projects, manage client relationships, and drive growth targets.
• Collaborate with regional and corporate leadership to advance priorities.
