Job summary

Toole Design in Austin, TX is seeking a seasoned transportation professional to lead the integrated transportation engineering and multimodal planning practice. This leadership role combines practice leadership with active project delivery and reports to the Engineering Director.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in transportation engineering and multimodal planning
• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities
• Proven ability to lead integrated engineering and planning teams
• Experience in business development and proposal strategy
• PE preferred; PTOE and/or AICP credentials are a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead business development and practice growth in collaboration with regional leadership
• Mentor engineers and planners and guide technical direction
• Oversee major transportation planning and engineering projects
• Coordinate with local, regional, and corporate leadership to advance practice priorities
• Support recruitment and staff development to grow the practice
