Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Practice Assistant to support ambulatory practice operations and deliver high-quality patient service. This role reports to the Practice Manager or Ambulatory Practice Coordinator, with input from physicians, nurses and other providers.

You will help with check-in, scheduling, referrals, and patient education, contributing to smooth clinic functioning and care coordination.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 Medical Admin Assistant Cert preferred.
• 3–5 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web-based applications and some Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsabilidades

• Greets patients and visitors with courtesy and privacy, and serves as a central communication source for patient care.
• Performs check-in, registration, scheduling, demographic and fiscal data entry.
• Collects co-payments and handles referrals and appointments as needed.
• Maintains a clean, welcoming reception area and coordinates smooth operations.
• Supports checkout, follow-up scheduling, referrals, and patient education materials where indicated.
