Base pay range

$20.50/hr - $25.00/hr

Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. is looking for a Practice Coordinator in our Baltimore, MD location. This position is responsible for all administrative (non-clinical) aspects of the patient encounter from greeting to accurate data entry for each patient. ABH is a family-centered mental health program that offers a wraparound approach to treatment. We specialize in Psychiatry, Off-Site Counseling Services, On-Site therapy, and Therapeutic Mentoring. Location: Baltimore, MD

Compensation: $20.50 - $25.00/hour

Hours: 8 hour work days, 40 hours/week. Office is open from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, some schedules may vary.

Essential Functions
  1. Comply with CARF/COMAR/HIPAA/State compliance regulations.
  2. Greet and check in patients for appointments.
  3. Maintain a clean professional front desk environment.
  4. Conduct patient reminder calls 48 hours prior to appointments.
  5. Verify authorization information in EMR and insurance eligibility.
  6. Schedule future appointments via EMR.
  7. Manage no-shows and enter data accordingly.
  8. Create and upload medical records and authorization info in EMR.
  9. Handle medication refill requests and prior authorizations.
  10. Update authorizations daily and notify staff of status.
  11. Prepare notes for patients attending scheduled appointments.
  12. Take and record vital signs.
  13. Assist Medical Director with administrative duties.
  14. Coordinate case assignments and discharges with staff.
  15. Act as primary contact for referring vendors and manage referral process.
  16. Maintain referral logs and report referral statistics.
  17. Maintain confidentiality and respond promptly to communications.
  18. Assist with workload at other locations as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
  1. Associates degree, relevant work experience, or certification in health-related field.
  2. Minimum five years of relevant experience.
  3. Customer service experience preferred.
  4. Ability to take vitals and operate office equipment.
  5. Experience with EMR systems preferred.
  6. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
