Practice Coordinator - Raritan Bay Medical Center-Old Bridge in Old Bridge, NJ at TeamHealth

The Practice Coordinator supports and maintains the practice both administratively and operationally. Administratively, this involves supporting the TH Hospital Medicine (THHM) Facility Medical Director, VP of Client Service, Regional Medical Director, and TH HM provider staff, while collaborating with hospital administration to meet all needs. Operationally, the coordinator accurately identifies and accounts for each patient seen by hospitalist physicians, manages medical records, and reports key metrics for dashboards. The role requires meeting productivity standards and target goals as outlined by the supervisor.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Carry out duties as directed by TeamHealth.
  • Maintain regular communication with the designated supervisor.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Access hospital systems to procure patient data for billing.
  • Coordinate completion of physician documentation and obtain necessary signatures.
  • Notify supervisor and seek assistance when processes deviate from standard procedures.
  • Achieve individual target goals as assigned.
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
  • Support leadership and staff through various administrative tasks, including meetings and dashboard data collection.
  • Obtain and verify inpatient records, ensuring completeness before batching and shipping to the billing center.
  • Communicate with supervisors and physicians regarding incomplete records.
Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: General knowledge of medical records, with at least one year of experience in a hospital or physician office setting, including understanding of patient registration and medical documents. Clerical, reconciliation, and record-keeping skills are essential.

  • BA or equivalent experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with accuracy and efficiency
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word

Professional, courteous, and cooperative behavior is essential. Ability to work well with others, resolve conflicts, and respond to feedback is expected.

WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

This remote position requires independent work, adherence to schedules, and the ability to perform tasks such as lifting, prolonged sitting or standing, and working with office equipment. Overtime and additional hours may be necessary.

Compensation: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour.
