Job summary

Polaris Inc. seeks a skilled dyno operator to support powertrain development by running engine dynamometers, instrumenting test cells, and collecting accurate data for development and certification projects.

You will work with engineers to perform engine builds, calibrations, and troubleshooting, while maintaining test equipment in a controlled lab environment that adheres to OSHA and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• Technical degree related to engines, powertrain systems, automotive technology, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with high-performance small engines and engine testing.
• Strong understanding of internal combustion engines and fuel-injection systems.
• Experience with engine-control software and data-acquisition systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate engine dynamometers and test cells to support development and certification testing.
• Configure and maintain engine hardware, including assembly and disassembly.
• Set up and troubleshoot data-acquisition systems and engine controls.
• Collect and analyze test data ensuring data integrity.
• Maintain and repair test-cell systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers to fulfill test requests and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment compliant with 5S and OSHA.
