Job summary

Polaris Inc. is seeking a hands-on Powertrain Test Technician at the Product Development Center in Wyoming, Minnesota.

You will conduct lab and field testing on engines, CVTs, and powertrain systems for off-road vehicles, building and instrumenting components for development and validation. You will set up data acquisition, analyze results, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems to ensure durability and performance under real operating conditions.

Qualifications

• Technical degree related to powersports.
• Experience in powersports or small engines is preferred.
• Strong understanding of powertrain components and test methods.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct lab and field-testing to support development and validation programs.
• Operate off-road vehicles in test environments to evaluate performance and durability.
• Assemble and instrument engines, CVTs, transmissions, and vehicles for testing.
• Perform engine/transmission teardowns and document findings.
• Set up powertrain hardware and instrumentation per specs.
• Collect and analyze test data, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
