Job summary

Polaris invites qualified candidates to join the Powertrain Development team at the Product Development Center in Wyoming, Minnesota. The role focuses on testing, validation, and integration of powertrain technologies for off-road vehicles, with hands-on lab and field work.

You will build, disassemble, instrument, test, and evaluate engines, CVTs, transmissions, and complete vehicles, driving reliable powertrain performance in real-world conditions.

Qualifications

• Technical degree related to powersports or 3+ years experience may be accepted in place of degree.
• Solid understanding of internal combustion engines, CVTs, and gearcases.
• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to ETAS INCA or similar testing and data acquisition software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory and field-testing activities to support engineering development and validation programs.
• Operate and evaluate off-road vehicles to assess powertrain performance, durability, and system behavior.
• Build, disassemble, and instrument engines, CVTs, transmissions, and vehicles for testing.
• Perform engine/transmission teardowns and document findings accurately.
• Set up powertrain hardware, instrumentation, and data acquisition per specs.
