Job summary

Honda South Carolina Manufacturing seeks engineers to contribute to prototype development for ATV/SxS vehicles. You will create basic component and system layouts with CAD, maintain documentation, and support maturation of new technologies with minimal supervision.

You will help meet cost targets, coordinate work schedules, and communicate status in project reviews while applying problem-solving methods to analyze root causes. Travel up to 1-3 times monthly is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in related engineering discipline.
• Experience in Powersports or Automotive preferred.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Ability to interact/communicate effectively with staff/management.
• Must be able to operate with high level of confidentiality.
• Competent with FMEA, tolerance stack-ups and CAE principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop basic component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles using CAD software.
• Adhere to cost targets by optimizing designs and implementing cost reductions.
• Create and manage schedule of work, coordinate resources, and communicate project status.
• Generate ideas contributing to new technologies and prepare for development applications.
• Support market quality themes and analyze root causes.
