Job summary

Amentum seeks an experienced Electrical Equipment Maintainer to operate, inspect, repair, and service electrical generating equipment, water systems, flood lights, air compressors, and aircraft arresting gear for USAF assets. Candidate will troubleshoot, interpret drawings, and ensure safety and quality standards across complex assets.

Preferred candidates have 1–3 years on similar equipment, read schematics, and can obtain Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Vocational/technical training, licenses, or certificates a plus.
• 1–3 years related experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform inspections.

Responsibilities

• Examine electrical equipment and systems for damage, corrosion and operation.
• Connect and utilize test equipment including voltmeters, ammeters, megohmmeters and oscilloscopes.
• Edit and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot.
• Operate, maintain and service power distribution systems and equipment.
• Prepare documentation and perform scheduled maintenance per USAF directives.
