Job summary

Amentum is seeking an FHE Technician to install, maintain, and repair liquid fuel systems for airfields, including pumping units, valves, meters, straps, and associated pipelines. You will conduct inspections per AFIs and Technical Orders, perform calibrations, and prepare assets for shipment as needed.

The role requires your ability to work in varied weather, handle equipment over 40 pounds, and obtain a Public Trust clearance. This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position under the SCA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of job-related experience.
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Experience in installation, operation, inspection, maintenance, and/or repair of fuel delivery systems.
• Physically able to operate machinery, trucks, forklifts, fuel pumps, hand tools, etc.
• Must be able to operate motor vehicles.
• Ability to read, speak and write English.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust US Government Clearance.
• US Citizenship required to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, and inspect fuel system assets and components.
• Perform periodic inspections and regulatory compliance checks.
• Inspect electrical wiring, switches, and controls for safe operation.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning equipment to restore operation.
• Disassemble, calibrate gauges/meters and perform hydrostatic testing.
• Maintain Shelf-life program for FSE parts.
