Job summary

Altorfer Industries, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Shop - Service Advisor for Power Systems. You will coordinate service from initial request through invoicing, working closely with technicians, parts, and Product Support Sales Reps to develop repair estimates and communicate status.

The role requires strong customer service, technical understanding of power systems and equipment, and the ability to manage multiple work orders while ensuring profitability and timely invoicing.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial or marine engine service or related environments.
• Experience reviewing service reports and estimating parts/labor.
• Experience with work order management and CRM systems.
• Strong customer service, communication and problem solving.
• Ability to learn service management systems.
• Valid driver?s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Review technician findings and history to develop accurate estimates with technicians and management.
• Verify parts, labor, materials, and costs align with requirements and profitability guidelines.
• Respond to customer inquiries professionally and document concerns and work orders.
• Obtain and document customer approval of estimates and changes in scope before work proceeds.
• Communicate repair recommendations, quotes, parts availability, and status to customers and reps.
• Coordinate with Commercial Service Manager on shop scheduling and priorities.
• Look up extended warranties and assist with payment processing.
• Review completed work orders for accuracy and coordinate invoicing and closure.
• Identify opportunities to improve estimate accuracy and workflows with the team.
• Additional duties as assigned.
