Job summary

Altorfer Inc. is seeking a Power Systems Technician to support our rental fleet in the shop and at customer job sites in East Peoria, Illinois. The role involves unit check-in/check-out, functional testing, basic troubleshooting, and loading/unloading components for projects.

You will coordinate with parts and service sources, maintain fleet records, and ensure safety compliance. A high school diploma and your own basic tools are required; CDL is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record (MVRO checked).
• Flexible schedule including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Power Systems Division rental fleet while at the Altorfer shop.
• Unit check in & check out; ensure unit readiness and basic troubleshooting.
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate with customers.
• Deliver and assist with loading/unloading project components on job sites.
• Assist with setup, basic troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with service & part sources for parts or services to repair units.
• Complete rental documentation and record keeping for fleet status.
