Job summary

MISO invites you to join our Modeling team as a Power Systems Model Engineering Intern in Carmel, IN. You’ll support model validation, data mapping, and workflow improvements across our Modeling group, contributing to reliable grid datasets for North America.

You’ll gain hands-on experience using Siemens CIM-based Model Manager and GE EMS, with coding in Python, C++, or Perl to streamline validation and data cleanup. Housing may be available for qualified students.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
• Coding in Python, C++, or Perl for automation and data cleanup.
• coursework in Electric Power Systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support validation of grid models and data mapping.
• Assist with improving modeling workflows and data cleanup.
• Document findings and communicate with cross‑functional teams.
• Contribute to real‑world modeling projects and industry tools.
