Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is seeking a Power Systems Engineering Intern to support grid reliability through power flow studies, model development, and automation across Planning and Operations teams.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with PSS/E, PowerWorld, and TARA, plus Python/SQL coding to streamline planning studies and operations. Housing may be available; location in Carmel, IN with other team assignments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python or similar coding language.
• Strong Excel and Office tools proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support power flow studies, model development and process automation for Planning and Operations teams.
• Assist with contingency analysis and transmission planning studies.
• Contribute to automation of planning studies and operational workflows.
