Job summary

JDC Power Systems, LLC is seeking a Power Systems Field Service Specialist to diagnose, repair, and commission electrical equipment at customer sites across the U.S. You’ll be the on-site expert, delivering hands-on service and clear technical guidance to customers.

The role requires troubleshooting of LV/MV gear, transformers, and PLC-based controls, with travel to varied customer sites and occasional visits to Hackettstown, NJ. A strong safety mindset and customer focus are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a field service role focused on power systems or industrial controls.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, and servicing electrical systems including transformers and breakers.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair transformers, circuit breakers, LV/MV switchgear, and PLC-based control systems.
• Run system checks and resolve issues to minimize downtime and restore safe operation.
• Support startups and commissioning to meet customer specs.
• Explain findings clearly to customers and outline next steps.
• Provide basic operator training and document service notes and test results.
• Use remote tools to accelerate resolution and coordinate with technicians.
• Travel to customer sites and JDC locations across the U.S. with valid license.
